“Cloud Nine” originated as vibraphone improvisations on YouTube that were relaxing, mellow, ambient, meditative, educational, approachable and great for background music and recitals.

Cloud Nine, below, is the title track. Please sit back, put the phone down, and relax for just over two minutes with me…

Relaxation

And that is what this music is about! It is something you can put on in the background while you study, sleep, or relax. It can relieve a stressful day and can help you get into a zone for meditation.

Cover Art

This amazing cover art was done by artist Jaems Murphy at evesdrop records, and more of his work can be found on Etsy and webtoons.com. The layout was done by Mike Graff with a photo inside by Jeff Rinderle. It was great to collaborate with all of these folks and I can’t wait to release my marimba album with more of Jaems’ art! (ope…. did I just say there’s another album coming!?) 🙂

Notation

These tracks that are being released as an album are selected from YouTube, being the more popular videos that I have also notated. This gives these works a whole new avenue, as they can be played for percussion recitals, juries, other performances and for fun.

Yoga, Meditation, Radio, Background Music

They have been remastered to give them a new life in the realm of audio recording. Now, these works can be listened to very easily in yoga studios, hospitals, barbershops, really anywhere that might need some relaxing background music! I am excited to see what Cloud Nine brings next.
