Moonlit – for solo vibraphone

Description

Moonlit is a work that is inspired by moonlight.  Imagine a clear night, no clouds, and the moon is shining enough to shine on the ripples of the water on a lake.  Ripples go up and down, different animals might make sounds, but the overall theme is the same.  Enjoy creating this gentle music, like the moonlight.

As with many of my works, the player may take their time on any section of this work.  They also may take it at a much slower tempo.  Playing rubato is part of the style and please do milk some notes more than others and stretch time during climax points of the work.  The theme is made up of broken chords, some being upward and some being downward.  The downward broken chords are indicated with an arrow point at the bottom of the broken chord marking.  Have fun in the moonlight!!
