Description

Stutter is the opener for the first volume from the Comprovisations collection; A Fantasy.  This album concept encompasses the arch of the perfect relationship, from meeting to having beautiful and shaky moments together.  Stutter has mixed meters and off-beat accents that emulate the feelings that may occur when meeting a new person or when breaking the ice in a romantic situation.  Eventually, a strong theme is presented and confidence is represented in consistent time and accented octaves.

Stutter is from a collection of five solos called “Comprovisations: A Songbook for Marimba” – which represents selections that I wrote out from an album of the same title.  Be sure to check out the collection before “checking out” of the store! 🙂
