A beautiful ear catching melody over busy marimba makes a great tune for a primary performance or an encore!
Freezing Snow was the second work I wrote for marimba & voice. Easy to remember lyrics and a long flowing melody line make it a nice introductory piece for marimba and voice for one player. Or bring in some friends and make it a duo or trio!
Years of Silence
A mixture of pop and classical music,
Years of Silence is a marimba & voice work that can tell a story…
This work was part of a two part series, paired with Flying Dreams. They weren’t meant to be together, but I wrote them at the same time and performed them together quite a bit. Get them together and they make a great set of songs for a recital!
A calming intro, a building groove, and a voice part that we might naturally sing anyways!

The Power of Music
Among the first marimba & voice pieces I wrote, The Power of Music has lyrics that surround the subject of how cool music is and how it can take us away from the present time! Ever been at a concert where the time just flew by?…
Do we even realize the power of music? 🙂 Check it out!
A great intermediate marimba part whether you sing the vocal part or not. If you do add the voice the lyric, they might make you think about how amazing our brains are! All of that electricity in our brains make this music!
Written along with The Power of Music this work was a very fun piece to perform and record using marimba & voice.
The first work I ever wrote for marimba and voice! Very approachable and fun tune for 4.3 octave marimba and optional voice!
